Video: ‘He Wants to Have the Ball a Lot and Pass to the Sides’ – Sarabia Discusses Pochettino’s Style After Win Against Brest

Paris Saint-Germain welcomed Stade Brestois to the Parc des Princes as it marked the home debut for new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The capital club took the lead early courtesy of Moise Kean, who scored his ninth goal in Ligue 1. However, PSG could not do much in the scoring depart until Pochettino made two critical substitutions in the second half.

Pablo Sarabia came in for Idrissa Gueye, and the decision to bring in the Spain international proved to be the right move. Sarabia would score an insurance goal off an assist from Mauro Icardi to make it 3-0 PSG.

After the match, the 28-year-old spoke with Canal Plus to discuss the win.

“A good Paris today? Yes, I think it was an important match for confidence and to continue working with the new coach. It was important to us, What is the Pochettino style? He wants to have the ball a lot and pass to the sides. There is a lot of top pressing. It’s important to accept the coach’s ideas to do the best,” Sarabia said.

“Hard to compare coaches? Yes, some things are the same. But obviously, some things are different. We have to work, there is a lot of new things, and we will try to be better.”
