Townsend Insists Crystal Palace Teammate Is Happy Despite the Links to PSG and AC Milan

With the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino as Paris Saint-Germain manager, the Argentine tactician will undoubtedly look to target players in the Premier League that he longed admired now that the transfer window is open. 

According to information collaborated by The Sun and Goal, Pochettino is looking at is Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha. However, the capital club isn’t the lone one showing interest in the 28-year-old as AC Milan are also inquiring about him. 

Despite the interest from two big clubs, Zaha’s teammate Andros Townsend insists that The Eagles forward is happy during an interview on talkSPORT Breakfast

“I’ve not spoken to Wilf about it,” Townsend said, “He’s started the season well, he’s scored eight goals, and I’ve got a couple of assists for him. He’s playing well and working hard for the team. He’s still happy to be at Palace. I’m sure he’s enjoying walking out for the rest of the season.”

Furthermore, Townsend isn’t the only one to discuss the rumors as Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson spoke with Sky Sport about the continued interest for the forward. 

Nonetheless, Zaha has mentioned in the past his desire to play in the UEFA Champions League competition. The Ivory Coast international will not see that tournament playing for Crystal Palace, where he’s under contract until 2023. 

At some point, he has to make a move while he remains in his prime years.
