Sergio Rico Becomes Latest PSG Player to Have Their Home Burglarized

Sergio Rico came in for Keylor Navas at half-time, after the Costa Rica international left Paris Saint-Germain’s fixture against Montpellier HSC. The 27-year-old filled in well for his teammate as he helped keep a clean sheet in the capital club’s 4-0 victory.

While Rico was happy for the win and three points and minutes as a starter, that feeling promptly went away when he arrived home. According to Le Parisien, the Spain international’s apartment was burglarized while Rico was in net versus Montpellier for Les Parisiens

The French media outlet reports that Rico’s apartment, a 230 square meter duplex located in western Paris, was forced open through its bay window. The burglars stole €25,000 in cash and luxury watches and jewelry.

A PSG player having their home burglarized isn’t something new. Past players like Gregory van der Wiel, Dani Alves, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, and Thiago Silva have dealt with the same issue as Rico.
