Report: PSG is Confident That Neymar and Mbappe Will Soon Sign New Deals Following Early Contract Talks With Both Players

The clock has started for Paris Saint-Germain in its quest to sign both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe to new contract deals. The summer transfer window is merely months away and the club surely does not want to come away from the window without signing either to new deals.

However, there is now a general feeling from within the club that the two will soon come to an agreement with the club for blockbuster contract extension deals.

A report from ESPN went into the world of hypotheticals by going over what it will take to bring Lionel Messi to PSG. But from the report, there is new information regarding PSG’s ambition to keep both Neymar and Mbappe in the long-term.

The report notes that extending both players remains as the top priority for the club. As of late, PSG has had talks with representatives for both Neymar and Mbappe.

The talks between PSG and representatives from both players were positive. And as a result, there is now “quiet confidence” that the pair will soon put pen to paper on new deals.

PSG is slated to have more contract talks with the two later this month.

The report also noted the club sees that the decision to bring in manager Mauricio Pochettino could help persuade Neymar and Mbappe to stay on with the team in the long-term.

Neymar currently earns €36.8m net per year while Mbappe hauls in  €11.3m gross per year.

The two could be in for pay rises if they decide to sign new deals with the club.
