As Paris Saint-Germain welcomes in 2021, the continuing story from 2020 will remain the same as the capital club looks to extend the contracts of Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappé.
Of the two, the Brazil international seems likely to extend his stay in the French capital. It appears as though both parties are heading towards agreeing on an extension.
No details on money or contract length have trickled out of the negotiations until now. L‘Équipe (via Culture PSG) reports that the 28-year-old is asking for a four-year deal from Les Parisiens.
FC Barcelona presidential candidates have discussed a potential Neymar return, but it mostly seems hot air from those trying to earn last-minute votes as their elections take place this month. Not many clubs being able to afford Neymar’s monthly wages as he earns around €3-million.
The contract demand is reasonable from the PSG superstar and one that the reigning Ligue 1 champions should jump on as they’d have Neymar for the remainder of his prime years.
