Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe was among several players who thrived under now-former manager Thomas Tuchel. Mbappe continued to dominate in Ligue 1 play and regularly had standout performances in UEFA Champions League fixtures. But behind the scenes in Tuchel’s last days as manager of the team, it may have been another story for the French forward.
A report from L’Equipe (via Le10Sport) noted that Mbappe was not much of a fan of his now-former manager. For one, Mbappe had the tendency to often shy away from Tuchel, such as by spending more time indoors than on the training grounds during scheduled training sessions at the Camp des Loges.
In public, the two seemed to get along quite well over Tuchel’s last matches as manager of PSG. Still, Mbappe may have had a different viewpoint towards his former PSG manager.
Now under Mauricio Pochettino, it may seem imperative that the two form a strong relationship, especially as the team heads toward the stretch run of the ongoing campaign.
