The winter transfer window is set to open next week, and some clubs are already anticipating that it will be one filled with a multitude of notable moves.
For one, Inter Milan is slated to part ways with midfielder Christian Eriksen. Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta recently made note of the fact that the Danish midfielder is now on the transfer list.
Inter is now waiting to see whether a suitor will come forth to push to sign Eriksen. It currently has an eye on Paris Saint-Germain as it awaits word from the French side on if it will take the steps to jump-start transfer negotiations for the former Tottenham midfielder, according to a report from the Italian-based outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TuttoMercatoWeb).
The report also makes a reference that if PSG does make contact with Inter for Eriksen, the Italian side plans to discuss a possible swap deal that would see it haul in Leandro Paredes in exchange for the Danish talent. This swap proposal has long been a rumored deal between the two sides.
For now, the ball is on PSG’s court regarding this matter, as Eriksen is available for a possible transfer move.
