There are expected to be many big names players that will become free agents in the upcoming summer transfer window. While Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Julian Draxler will not be among the highly-coveted free agents, he is expected to have plenty of suitors lining up to show interest in a possible free transfer agreement.
Among the teams that are showing an early interest in pursuing Draxler for such a deal is La Liga side Sevilla, according to a report from the Spanish-based outlet AS.
Sevilla sporting director Monchi has the German midfielder on his list for possible transfer targets, per the report.
Sevilla is not the only team interested in pursuing Draxler. The report also lists FC Bayern Munich as another interested club, although there is no word on the extent to which the Bundesliga side would consider making an aggressive pursuit to sign the pending PSG free agent.
On Sevilla’s part, the Spanish side is well known for signing players on bargain deals. And this potential move would go along with Monchi’s bargain transfer policy as the club would not have to post a transfer fee to acquire Draxler.
The German talent has totaled for 11 appearances in all competitions so far this season to go along with five goal contributions.
