The winter transfer window is well underway, which means that upcoming free agents can already speak to other clubs about a pre-contract transfer agreement. Among those players eligible to do so is Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos. The Real Madrid talent is slated to be a free agent at the end of the season.
Paris Saint-Germain has been in the rumor mill regarding a possible free transfer deal with Ramos. But according to Telefoot, PSG has not yet contacted Real Madrid or Ramos to jumpstart possible free transfer talks.
Ramos and Real Madrid are currently in the midst of a major contract dilemma. Real Madrid has placed an offer on the table for Ramos that centers on a one-year contract that includes a 10 percent pay cut as well. Ramos is pushing for a two-year deal, which is why the two sides are now at a standstill.
PSG does not currently have a major need out at the center-back position, but this possible free transfer move will be one to watch for.
