The winter transfer window is well underway, which means that upcoming free agents can already speak to other clubs about a pre-contract transfer agreement. Among the players eligible to do so is Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos. The Real Madrid talent is slated to be a free agent at the end of the season.
Paris Saint-Germain has been in the rumor mill regarding a possible free transfer deal with Ramos. But according to Telefoot, PSG has not yet contacted Real Madrid or Ramos to jump-start possible free transfer talks.
Ramos and Real Madrid are currently in the midst of a major contract dilemma. Real Madrid has placed an offer on the table for Ramos that centers on a one-year contract that includes a 10 percent pay cut as well. Ramos is pushing for a two-year deal, which is why the two sides are now at a standstill.
PSG does not currently have a major need out at the center-back position, but this possible free transfer move will be one to watch for.
