PSG Mercato: French Media Outlet Reports That There’s a Zero Percent Chance Draxler Departs Paris SG This Winter Window

As there are only a few days left in the winter transfer window, it appears as though Julian Draxler will see out the remainder of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

Le Parisien (via Paris Fans) reports that there’s a zero percent chance that the 27-year-old departs Les Parisiens this winter transfer window. Draxler came in with promise, scoring against FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 in 2017; however, it’s gone downhill since.

Some had hoped the capital club could sell off the Germany international and recoup a transfer fee. Nonetheless, this won’t be the case as Draxler will collect his last few paychecks before picking his next destination for the 2021-22 season.

Draxler will have plenty of suitors this summer as clubs like Arsenal FC, Hertha BSC, and Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly shown interest in the PSG midfielder.

Nonetheless, it’s another player that the capital club couldn’t recoup a transfer fee and allowed to leave for free. The silver lining in this situation is that Draxler’s wages will be off the books.
