PSG Mercato: Arsenal Transfer Target Will See Out His Contract With Paris and Could Announce His Next Club in March

Julian Draxler’s days with Paris Saint-Germain are coming to an end with the capital club not receiving any transfer fee for the Germany international.

According to Bild journalist Christian Falk, Draxler will see out his contract with Les Parisiens and announce his next club as early as March. Some supporters were hopeful that PSG would squeeze a transfer fee for the 27-year-old, but that won’t be the case.

Furthermore, it didn’t seem as though Draxler had no interest in leaving the French capital as he was content with collecting his wages from PSG before bolting. With UEFA Euro 2020 taking place in a few months, some might have thought Draxler would be open to a move for playing time; however, it seems he has other ideas.

Several clubs in Germany will be looking to acquire Draxler on a free transfer. Hertha BSC and Bayer Leverkusen have long had an interest in the midfielder. There’s also Arsenal FC, who reportedly met with Draxler’s representatives per 90min.

All these clubs will be on pins and needles waiting for Draxler’s decision. Regardless, the Draxler era will soon be over.
