Neymar Makes Appearance in Trophee Des Champions Final After Missing Time Due to Injury

After a long wait, Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar finally made his return to action with the team. PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino brought in the Brazilian forward during the second half of the team’s Trophee des Champions final against Olympique de Marseille.

Neymar had missed multiple fixtures since suffering a notable left ankle injury during the late stages of the team’s Ligue 1 fixture against Olympique Lyonnais last month. Neymar had been recovering since then and even made a rapid return to training earlier this week.

Since he had just recovered from his injury, Pochettino surely did not want to rush the Brazilian back to start in a fixture such as this one. Instead, the Argentine manager is providing the forward with some second-half minutes to at the least give the forward a chance to make an impact in the fixture and also allow him to dust off of any rust that he may have.

PSG currently leads 1-0 in the second half of the final.
