Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe is coming off of a disappointing Ligue 1 performance against Angers. Mbappe was once again active in the attacking third and got off multiple shot attempts but still could not find the back of the net.
PSG came away with a 1-0 win over Angers, but the side could have added another goal or two had Mbappe finished his key goal-scoring opportunities.
Mbappe has now gone four straight appearances in all competitions without a goal, which, as the Twitter account Stats Foot points out, is tied for the worst run of his PSG career.
The French forward failed to score in PSG’s recent Trophee des Champions final win over Olympique de Marseille. More so, he did not score in the team’s previous two league fixtures against Brest and AS Saint-Etienne.
Mbappe has had his chances to score, but for the moment, he is in real need of a goal for the team.
