Marquinhos Made PSG History During Trophee Des Champions Final

Since Marquinhos joined Paris Saint-Germain, he has been a reliable player for the team in multiple positions. From playing as a center-back to occupying several midfield roles, the Brazilian continues to exemplify why he is a player who a manager can regularly rely on.

Marquinhos’ reliability has paid off as he reached the 300 appearances number for PSG during the Trophee des Champions final, as noted by the club’s official website.

Marquinhos is the 10th player in PSG’s history to reach this number of appearances, which includes the likes of former club teammate Thiago Silva (315) and current counterpart Marco Verratti (331).

The Brazilian has accounted for most of his appearances within Ligue 1 play, where he is currently at 190 games played.

Marquinhos is not done yet in climbing up this leaderboard. With 19 more appearances, he can surpass four players on this list, including Silva and longtime teammate Edinson Cavani.

With the trophies won coupled with the games played, Marquinhos is establishing his place as one of the top defenders within the club’s history.
