“Is It Better Today to Go to Real or to Stay in Paris?” – French Football Journalist Comments on the Future of Mbappé

The future of Kylian Mbappé continues to be on the lips of many experts and observers. Now there are new questions about what could happen to the Paris Saint-Germain forward. Mbappé’s contract will expire next year, and extension talks with their young superstar are ongoing.

French football journalist Pierre Ménès spoke about the 22-year-old’s current situation on his Canal Plus blog. Ménès states that Mbappé is fine where he is after the France international made comments concerning his future.

“He also spoke about his future, without giving up information of course, but with a certain frankness,” Ménès wrote. “Anyway, given the economic situation, there are not many clubs that can afford Mbappé and the salary that goes with it.”

The PSG forward is often linked to a move to Real Madrid, who failed to bring him to the Spanish club in 2017. However, Los Blancos are doing everything in the power that will see Mbappé in the Spanish capital this summer.

Nonetheless, Ménès also commented on how there aren’t many clubs that can afford to pay the transfer fee and wages with bringing in French. Furthermore, he adds that Real Madrid isn’t an Mbappé from being a European powerhouse and states that the Spanish club requires a rebuild.

“Especially at Real, it is not a star that must be bought but a whole team to rebuild,” Ménès wrote. “Is it better today to go to Real or to stay in Paris? Everyone will judge from their window.”
