PSG Mercato: Paris SG Nearing a Loan Deal for Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli; Mourinho Remains Adamant the Midfielder Will Stay

The Dele Alli to Paris Saint-Germain rumor could be coming to an end with the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder finally making his way to the French capital.

For months, Les Parisiens have had their eyes on Alli, who has seen his role with Spurs dwindle under manager José Mourinho. Furthermore, with PSG hiring ex-Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, the interest began to heat up again.

Despite the 24-year-old wanting a change of scenery, Spurs have held onto Alli citing depth concerns as the reason they’re holding onto him.

Nonetheless, Sky Sport‘s Fabrizio Romano tweeted that both sides are nearing an agreement for a loan deal without an option to buy. However, the deal hedges on Spurs finding a replacement for Alli.

Twenty-four hours since Romano reported this news, Mourinho commented on the matter and stated that the England international would remain with the London-based club during his press conference

Although Mourinho is the manager, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has the final say, and it will be up to him whether Alli remains with the English club or not.
