Neymar Jr. put Paris Saint-Germain on his back and was a significant figure in the capital club heading into Old Trafford and coming away with three points against Manchester United FC.
Les Parisiens now control their destiny heading into matchday six of the UEFA Champions League group stage, as their 28-year-old superstar chipped in with two goals.
In his postgame press conference, Neymar spoke about being a leader and not coming to PSG to play in Europa League; however, one comment caught everyone by surprise when talking to ESPN about the possibility of playing alongside FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.
“What I want the most is to play with him again. Still enjoying it with him in the field. Where would I play it? It’s not a problem anywhere, even in my place! We should try next season,” Neymar said.

Messi’s contract expires at the end of this season, and with Neymar enjoying life in Paris and likely signing a contract extension soon, according to Diario AS.
One might wonder if the Brazil international could convince his former teammate to leave Spain and head to the French capital since that’s where they could reunite since it seems unlikely Neymar returns to Barcelona.
Furthermore, with the possibility of Kylian Mbappé deciding to go in the summer, Neymar would like to see some help on the attack, and Messi could present a short-term solution.
