Paris Saint-Germain captain Marquinhos returned to the pitch after dealing a hip injury for the fixture against Lille OSC. The capital club manager Thomas Tuchel praised Marquinhos’ performance during his press conference.
The 26-year-old against Lille showed that he is among the best defenders worldwide and that the Brazilian defender is at “Ballon d’Or level” and should have been recognized by FIFA with a place in the FIFPro Men’s World XI in the last year.
“I saw a solid performance this evening (Sunday), with a Marquinhos of an extraordinary level. You can make a video of his match and show it to everyone. That’s Ballon d’Or level,” Tuchel said.
