Paris Saint-Germain has lifted the Ligue 1 trophy four years in a row, always beating their opponents by a significant amount of points. This year is different as the capital club only surpasses the second of the tournament by only two points, and if it wants to continue at the top of the French football food chain, it must beat third-placed Olympique Lyonnais.
Thomas Tuchel, PSG coach, spoke at a press conference where Canal Supporters relayed his words about what he expects from the Lyon side.
“I expect a strong OL because in the last games at the Parc, they had played with courage. They always came to show that they have the same qualities as us. I hope the same tomorrow. OL does not play in Europe, so they are not tired,” Tuchel said.
“They were able to prepare for this match for a full week. But at the same time, we are playing with confidence at the moment, we have found our rhythm, and we have gained capacity. I trust my players. They are competitors. They like games like this. It’s good that it’s a match on the same level as Champions League. It’s good for us.”
