As Paris Saint-Germain celebrates their 50th anniversary, some of the squad’s current players are constructing their all-time starting eleven for the capital club. Ángel Di María is the latest PSG player to create his lineup, which was shared on the club’s social media accounts and will coincidently include his soon to be manager.
In goal, El Fideo went with Salvatore Sirigu, who spent six seasons in the French capital. On defense, El Fideo went with a backline of Dani Alves, Mauricio Pochettino, David Luiz, and Maxwell. Interesting that he didn’t include his former teammate, Thiago Silva, as one of his central defenders.
When it comes to the midfield, it’s composed of Thiago Motta, Nenê, Ronaldinho, and himself. Finally, at forward, Di María went with two strikers in Pedro Miguel Pauleta and Carlos Bianchi. Another interesting choice as he left off two former teammates in Edinson Cavani, who’s PSG’s all-time leading goal scorer, and Zlatan Ibrahimović.
