Paris Saint-Germain will be traveling to the Stade Pierre-Mauroyfor a showdown against Lille OSC, with the winner of the fixture taking over first place in Ligue 1.

In a game that the capital wants to win as they seek a stranglehold atop the league table, they will have to do so without Neymar Jr., but Marquinhos is available.

During his press conference, PSG manager Thomas Tuchel discussed the matchup against Lille, where Canal Supporters relayed his words.

“Lille is a good team with a very strong coach. We had a good training session this morning. The afternoon will be free for us. We have lost more points than usual,” Tuchel said. “

“Tomorrow will be a significant challenge. Today I had the impression that we were ready. We play with players who are tired or who play fast after an injury. Furthermore, we can see that in Europe, no one has left the leadership. “

Tuchel also spoke about the state of exhaustion at this stage as Les Parisiens are in a fight for Ligue 1.

“In all the leagues, the teams are mentally tired, and the classification is tight. A league is not a sprint but a marathon,” Tuchel said.

“We had a good time training yesterday, and today it is possible to have a good game. But there is fatigue; it is there. It is a reality, not an excuse. January and February will be decisive. Without the Champions League, we will concentrate on Ligue 1.”
