When the Paris Saint-Germain squad returns from their holiday break, they will see a new face at the managerial position. RMC Sport‘s Mohamed Bouhafsi reports that former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino will take over the role.

Former manager Thomas Tuchel learned about his sacking yesterday after Les Parisien’s 4-0 victory over RC Strasbourg Alsace. Bouhafsi tweets that Leonardo had a meeting with Tuchel to inform him of the club’s decision to go in a different direction.

The French journalist adds that the decision to hire the Argentine tactician is coming from capital club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. Bouhafsi follows that statement by saying the decision to sack Tuchel was a sporting decision because they felt Tuchel lacked influence on the squad and communication.

Pochettino will now reportedly come in to try and install his tactics as he has a month to get the PSG squad playing in his vision as they’re a little over a month away from their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 matchup against FC Barcelona.
