AS Roma defender Riccardo Calafiori is among the highly coveted Italian defenders today. More so, he is already drawing interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, according to a report from the Italian-based outlet CalcioMercato.
The 18-year-old left-back prospect is currently slated to become a free agent a year following this season. The report adds that Calafiori’s representatives and Roma still have not come to terms on a contract extension agreement. Calafiori’s agent, Mino Raiola, proposed to Roma a three-year contract for his client while also seeking to double his current salary.
In the meantime, teams such as PSG and Juventus have reportedly courted the talent. But for the moment, the Italian defender much prefers to stay with Roma.
Calafiori has made two appearances in all competitions so far this season, with both of them coming in Europa League play. He is deemed as a prospect for the future with the potential to soon earn a regular spot as a starter for his boyhood club.
