Paris Saint-Germain played their last fixture against RC Strasbourg Alsace, where the capital club came away with a 4-0 victory.
Since that win, players from the Les Parisiens have gone away for the holiday break. Neymar Jr. returned to his native Brazil as the PSG forward spent time with his family. However, now that New Year’s Eve. is a few days away, the 28-year-old is planning to celebrate the end of 2020.
According to O Globo, Neymar is receiving criticism in Brazil for planning a five-day party to ring in 2021. The Brazilian media outlet adds that Neymar has invited some 500 people to a mansion in Mangaratiba, Rio de Janeiro, for an event that started over the weekend.
Bracing for any criticism of his decision to host a party, O Globo also reports that Neymar requested no mobile phones at the event so that nothing will be recorded.
Brazil is third worldwide when it comes to coronavirus cases, with 7,465,806 cases and 190,815 deaths per Worldometers. Only India and the United States have more cases than Brazil as they’re the hotbed for coronavirus in South America.
