Report: Mauro Icardi Has Made a Decision Over His PSG Future With the Pending Arrival of Pochettino

Moise Kean’s performance through the first half of the 2020-21 season has caused Mauro Icardi to become an afterthought at Paris Saint-Germain. Furthermore, various rumors from media outlets like Diario AS suggest a possible swap deal for Juventus FC’s Paulo Dybala for the PSG striker.

Despite the off-the-pitch noise with the future of Icardi, the 27-year-old isn’t leaving Les Parisiens anytime soon, according to TyC Sports. As PSG awaits the pending arrival of former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino, Icardi wants to see how he performs under the Argentine tactician.

Under former PSG manager Thomas Tuchel, Icardi didn’t see his best form, although he had flashes of his Inter Milan goal-scoring self. However, in the UEFA Champions League final, when the capital club saw themselves needing a goal against FC Bayern Munich, he didn’t bring in Icardi into the match.

With the Ligue 1 champions having paid €50-million for Icardi, they need to get more out of their striker, and the Argentina international is hopeful that the compatriot will get the best out of him.
