Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe became a hero for his team when he recorded one of the most impressive tackles of the season. In the late stages of PSG’s Ligue 1 away fixture against Lille, Kimpembe slid in for a grand tackle that ended what could have been an effortless goal-scoring opportunity for the now-current league leaders.

In the process, Kimpembe suffered an injury and was subbed off the pitch moments later.
Now, there is some optimism regarding Kimpembe’s injury.
L’Equipe noted that an initial diagnosis of his ailment showed that the French defender is dealing with an “injury to the ischios of the right thigh,” which could see be sidelined for three weeks.
Kimpembe is slated to miss PSG’s upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Strasbourg.
At the least, Kimpembe could be back in time for PSG’s Trophee des Champions final against Olympique de Marseille next month.
