Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen is one player who was heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain over the recent summer transfer window. And more so, an October report also linked PSG to the Danish midfielder, but rather for a possible move over the upcoming winter transfer window.
Now, Eriksen is showing mutual interest in such a deal. Il Giornale’s Nicolo Schira notes that Eriksen is “waiting” for a call from PSG for a potential transfer deal. The report also mentions that Premier League side West Ham United has opened preliminary talks with Inter Milan to possibly acquire the Danish talent.
Eriksen’s future with Inter is all but coming to an inevitable conclusion. Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta recently confirmed that Eriksen is now on the transfer list, and the midfielder is slated to leave over the upcoming winter window.
Eriksen has not had much to go his way over this season. He has fallen out of favor with current Inter manager Antonio Conte. More so, the former Tottenham midfielder is without a goal contribution in both Serie A and UEFA Champions League play to go along with just one start in the latter competition.
Eriksen does have strong ties with new PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino, as the Danish talent played multiple seasons under the Argentine while at Tottenham. It remains to be seen whether this connection may be key in PSG’s potential pursuit of the midfielder.
