Report: Former PSG Manager Set to Takeover Qatar Club in Return to Coaching

Since his exit from Paris Saint-Germain in 2016, French football manager Laurent Blanc has kept a low-profile. The 55-year-old has yet to manage since departing the capital club. However, his name always comes up for various managerial openings.

Clubs like Inter Milan, AS Roma, Valencia CF, AS Monaco, Arsenal FC, Zenith Saint Petersburg, Olympique Lyonnais, Fenerbahçe SK, FC Nantes, and Toronto FC have all shown interest in the former Les Parisiens bench boss.

Despite seeing his name linked to clubs in Europe and North America, Blanc isn’t getting back into the managerial game on either continent. According to RMC Sport, Blanc is heading to Qatar, where he will take charge of Al-Rayyan SC.

Last season, The Lions finished second in the Qatar Stars League. In this campaign, though, Al-Rayyan sits in the middle of the QSL table and is hoping that bringing in Blanc can lead the back to the top.
