Paris Saint-Germain defender Alessandro Florenzi will miss the team’s Ligue 1 fixture against Strasbourg due to injury, according to a report from RMC Sport.
Florenzi was among several PSG players who left the team’s recent league fixture against Lille because of an injury suffered during the contest. RMC Sport notes that Florenzi is dealing with a sprained left ankle. He is expected to miss at least two weeks of action due to this injury, which will now keep him out of the fixture against Strasbourg.
The good news for PSG is that the club will have a mini winter break following the Strasbourg fixture. So at the least, Florenzi may be in line to make his return to action early next month and should be available for the key Trophee des Champions final against Olympique de Marseille.
Florenzi has logged two goals over 11 appearances in league play so far this season.
