Paris Saint-Germain still has not yet officially announced the signing of Mauricio Pochettino to become its new manager. But there is already a date to which the former Tottenham manager will hold his first training session as PSG’s new manager.
Pochettino will hold a scheduled training session on Jan. 3, according to a report from L’Equipe. This date was originally what now-former manager Thomas Tuchel had planned for before his departure from the club, as he wanted his team to truly enjoy the current Christmas break. But for now, this date remains unchanged.
PSG will have a pair of Ligue 1 fixtures next week. PSG is slated to face AS Saint-Etienne in an away fixture followed by a contest against Brest, which will be Pochettino’s first home fixture as manager of the Ligue 1 side.
With wins in both contests, PSG could climb back into first place in the league standings, which could be an early must-need task for the Argentine manager.
