Paris Saint-Germain has officially ruled out midfielder Leandro Paredes from its upcoming fixture against Strasbourg due to a right hip injury, the team officially announced on its official website.
Paredes has not played in a fixture for the club since its recent 1-0 loss to Olympique Lyonnais. The Argentine midfielder did make PSG’s squad list for its fixtures against Lorient and Lille, but manager Thomas Tuchel did not provide him with any playing time off the bench.
While Paredes will miss the fixture against Strasbourg, it is unclear whether he is slated to be fit for PSG’s fixtures following the upcoming mini winter break.
PSG also ruled out nine other players from this fixture against Strasbourg. The likes of Presnel Kimpembe (hamstring), Mauro Icardi (adductors) and Danilo Pereira (hamstring) will all be out due to their respective injuries.
Tuchel will once again have to roll out a new starting 11 for a league fixture this season.
