FIFA announced their awards for The Best FIFA Football Awards 2020, and there was one player left off their FIFA FIFPRO world starting eleven as they found no place for Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar Jr., which caused a lot of debate.

The 28-year-old played a significant role in helping the capital club reach its first UEFA Champions League final, but it didn’t seem as though it wasn’t good enough to warrant a spot.

One of Neymar’s Brazil National Team teammates and Everton FC forward, Richarlison, took to Twitter to show his displeasure over leaving Neymar out of the starting eleven.

“No Neymar, no party,” Richarlison tweeted.

For 2021, the capital club forward will have plenty of opportunities to display why those who decided on the best awards made a mistake. Les Parisiens are into the knockout stage and face FC Barcelona, in a matchup many will have eyes in the Round of 16 fixtures.

In the summer, he will have a chance to lead the Brazil National Team in the Copa America competition.
