Neymar Earns Champions League Player of the Week Honors Following Performance Against Basaksehir

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has been voted UEFA Champions League player of the week for matchday six following his performance against Istanbul Basaksehir.

PSG came into the fixture needing a win to clinch Champions League Group H. Neymar not only led his team to triumph with a 5-1 win over the Turkish side but also dazzled with one of the best Champions League performances of his PSG career. The Brazilian scored three goals, created a pair of goal-scoring chances for teammates, won 12 ground duels and completed five dribble attempts.

More so, Neymar also won Champions League Goal of the Week honors thanks to his outside-the-box score against Basaksehir. It was a score that Basaksehir just could not do much to prevent.

Overall, Neymar finished Champions League group stage play with six goals, which led the team. The Brazilian and his PSG side now look ahead to the Champions League Round of 16 draw on Monday.
