According to Sky Sports News, Christian Eriksen’s tenure at Inter Milan lasted one year as the 28-year-old will move this winter transfer window.
The media outlet reports that the Denmark international will leave on loan due to his high wages and three years left on his contract. Furthermore, Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted out what Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta said to Sky Sport Italia, confirming the news.
“Yes, I can confirm that Christian Eriksen is on the transfer list. He’s going to leave in January,” Marotta said. “He’s not functional to our plans, and he had difficulty here at Inter. I think it’s right that Christian goes away to find more space.”
Despite one season in Milan, it hasn’t gone as planned for Eriksen, as he’s only made eight appearances with four starts while averaging 35 minutes per game. Paris Saint-Germain has displayed an interest in Eriksen, so now that he’s made available, expect the capital club to inquire about the midfielder.
With PSG sporting director Leonardo having good relations with Inter, the Brazilian will want to use that to get an inside track for the former Tottenham Hotspurs player.
Along with Les Parisiens, Premier League club, Arsenal FC is also showing interest, but Sky News adds that it would be tough seeing the 28-year-old player for Spurs arch-rival.
