French National Team Manager Didier Deschamps Says That Mbappe’s Recent Drop in Form Should Not be a Concern

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has had a recent slight drop in form as of late. Most notably, Mbappe did not have his way in UEFA Champions League group stage play this season as he recorded a mere one goal scored.

And while Mbappe began the Ligue 1 season in top form, he has now gone on to score two open play goals in his last seven league appearances.

French national team manager Didier Deschamps does not believe that it is time to push the panic button in regard to Mbappe’s play as of late. Deschamps is well assured (via Europe 1) that Mbappe can soon return to quality form.

“Even Kylian can have a period where he’s a little less well,” Deschamps said. “Kylian has done so many amazing things and he continues to do even though lately, he may have an efficiency that is a little below what he had. But, I have no worries about what he is able to do what he will be able to do again.”

Mbappe has dealt with injuries this season and is currently dealing with minor muscle pain. For PSG, the club does sure hope that the forward will be fully fit and ready to lead the team following the mini winter break.
