Thomas Tuchel’s time as Paris Saint-Germain’s manager has come to an end. In his two and a half seasons, the German tactician won Ligue 1 and the Coupe de la Ligue twice, along with a Coupe de France trophy.
Furthermore, the 47-year-old took the capital club to its first-ever UEFA Champions League final appearance. Although there good times under Tuchel for Les Parisiens, there were also bad ones.
Their loss to Manchester United FC at the Parc des Prince in the 2019 Champions League Round of 16 after being up 2-0 heading into that second leg. Then there’s the loss to Stade Rennais in the 2019 Coupe de France final, along with having their unbeaten streak over rival Olympique de Marseille come to an end.
Regardless, the Collectif Ultras Paris sent out a message on social media, thanking Tuchel for his time with the capital club and helping them take PSG to new heights that they’ve never experienced before.
“Thank you to Mr. Thomas Tuchel for this commitment to the club during these years. Thank you for all these trophies won and this historic journey in the Champions League. Good continuation,” the statement said.
