Video: ‘Today, We Are More Oriented for a Departure’ – Former AS Monaco Vice President on Mbappé’s Contract Status

Every week there’s another twist to the rumor of Kylian Mbappé and whether or not he will extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain. With Real Madrid lurking in the background, the capital club has a few more months to agree on a new deal before they have to negotiate a transfer for the 21-year-old with Los Blancos rather than losing him for free.

Former vice-president of AS Monaco, Vadim Vasilyev, spoke with Téléfoot la Chaîne where he stated that Mbappé is closer to a departure than extending his contract with Les Parisiens

“The future of Mbappé? These are very important, very heavy decisions. Today, we are more oriented for a departure, but nothing is impossible, launches Vadim Vasilyev in his interview. Kylian is still young and what he wants is to win trophies,” Vasilyev said.

“He is ambitious. He wants to break records. If tomorrow Paris could offer him an ambitious project where he feels at ease, to go further and have the chances of winning everything in his life, but I would say that there are chances.”
