When Paris Saint-Germain fell 2-1 on matchday three of the UEFA Champions League group stage, one of the answers that capital club captain Marquinhos gave is that the squad stands behind their manager Thomas Tuchel.
However, RMC Sport analyst Jérôme Rothen was on Top of the Foot, where he stated that the German should be removed from his position as the manager because he believes Tuchel has lost the players.
“I’ve been saying this for weeks. I’m not going to change my mind. Yesterday, for once, we saw what he wanted to put in place and that the players respected what he wanted to the letter. That’s a good sign. That means they haven’t let go,” Rothen said.
“Afterward, the result is that he is in danger because it puts the club in danger in the Champions League. If he is still there, it is thanks to the results. Today, because of what is happening and the results that are not good in the Champions League, it puts everyone in danger. Yes, PSG can still qualify. But it is the way of this club to function of this club, which is not right at all. Today, very clearly, he is losing a lot of players.”
PSG sporting director Leonardo is reportedly looking at former Juventus FC manager Massimiliano Allegri, so Tuchel’s days might be coming to an end.
