Video: Presnel Kimpembe Discusses the Current State of the PSG Squad and His Role With the France National Team

Presnel Kimpembe will not be suiting up for Paris Saint-Germain when they take on RB Leipzig on matchday four of the UEFA Champions League group stage. However, after receiving a red card in their last Champions League fixture, the 25-year-old will miss the match when RB Leipzig heads into the Parc des Prince.

Nonetheless, Kimpembe took some time to give an interview with Téléfoot to discuss the current state of the capital club squad and his role with the France National Team.

“In this France team, there is a lot of competition, but it is an objective as I had said in the past to chain matches. And why not be a holder of the Euro. In concentration, I try to erase the small defects, that is to say, the risk-taking. I am a defender above all. When there are hot situations, you also have to know how to clear the ball. That’s what I try to do, less mess around. Play more simply. The season is long, we. Wee a lot of goals with PSG. Nothing is done,” Kimpembe said.

“We still have time in quotes to be able to do things well. Who do I prefer to play with? I have no preference, it is the coach who aligns his team, and we are available. We respect his choices. If he puts Dani in the middle, it’s Dani. If it’s Marqui, it will be Marqui. If he puts Sergio Rico, it will be Sergio. You have to be able to adapt. We’ll see. With the France team and PSG, I want to win everything.”
