Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe came off the bench for the French national team in its UEFA Nations League fixture against Sweden. Mbappe has been dealing with complications to his hamstring, but manager Didier Deschamps must have felt that he had made just enough progress with his injury to at the least play some minutes against Sweden.
In just around a minute after being subbed into the game during the second half, Mbappe wound up already making his grand presence felt in the attack. The PSG forward sent in an excellent aerial ball over to Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud, who effortlessly headed in the attempt to put France up 3-1.
🇫🇷 The second goal of the game for Olivier Giroud!
He’s now just 7 goals from matching France’s all time goal scoring record… https://t.co/S4itLZFLb6
