Video: ‘It’s Historic What We’re Going To Experience’ – Psg Féminine Manager on Playing Lyon at the Parc des Princes

Arguably the most prominent fixture in women’s French football, Paris Saint-Germain will welcome Olympique Lyonnais to the Parc des Prince with the capital club having an opportunity to overtake Lyon atop of the Division 1 Féminine table.

PSG Féminine manager Olivier Echouafni spoke with the media on various topics. The first is the match’s location at the Parc des Prince rather than their usual home, which is the Stade Jean-Bouin.

“It’s historic what we’re going to experience tomorrow, which had never been done in the Women’s Championship,” Echouafni said. “I would like to thank the club, the president, and Leonardo, who allowed us to play at the Park. It’s a real beautiful poster. It shows the interest of our leaders, and the girls are happy.”

The capital club has struggled against Lyon, whether it’s in domestic or European competition, so with an opportunity to take over first place, Echouafni talked about a possible victory against their rivals.

“In the high-level, everything is possible. There are series which are made to stop. We are part of the teams that also put pressure. We are here; we are moving forward. We know it’s not easy. It’s the best team in the world, the reigning European champions,” Echouafni said. “They have a status of favorites that they assume. Every day we are progressing with a staff who do a remarkable job. At some point, the players are going to be rewarded.”
