RB Leipzig has four France international players on their current squad, with two of them being from the city of Paris. Ibrahima Konaté is one of the players from the French capital and recently spoke with RB Leipzig’s website on what it means to return home and play against Paris Saint-Germain.
“It’s an extremely important game for me. I was born in Paris. My family and friends are fans of Paris Saint-Germain,” Konaté said. Although, of course, she will be for Leipzig when they play against us. Either way, this game is very important, and I hope we get a good result.”
Konaté then went into how the squad is preparing to face Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappé, who both missed the matchday three loss a few weeks ago.
“The presence of Mbappé and Neymar? Of course, that changes a lot of things, for PSG at first,” Konaté said. “Neymar and Mbappé are positive leaders on the pitch. For us, it’s going to be a bit more difficult. Now, that does not mean that we are going to change the playing system. We will keep the same; it will be eleven against eleven. We will see what it will give.”
