The 1970 Podcast: It’s Time to Go!

When you’ve already said all that needs to be said, all you can do is echo Claude from AFTV. IT’S TIME TO GO!

On this episode of The 1970, I’m joined by Marc Damon, as always, and we discuss yet another loss for Paris Saint-Germain and try to explain why Thomas Tuchel hasn’t been sacked yet.

We begin with that 2-1 loss at RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League, a result that currently has PSG in third place in Group H behind the Germans and Manchester United. Is the manager to blame for the lack of energy and questionable substitutions or are there simply too many injuries to overcome?

The defeat to Leipzig means PSG are staring down the barrel of the UEFA Europa League and we discuss the implications of dropping down to the lesser competition, including a change at manager but who is the best option for the club?

The show concludes with a prediction for PSG’s upcoming match against Stade Rennais, which neither of us are overly confident about.

As always, thank you for listening, and be sure to subscribe and rate the show wherever you download your podcasts.
