Since 2017, Real Madrid had its eyes on Kylian Mbappé but didn’t want to pay the price for the France international when AS Monaco made him available. With the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo two seasons ago, it seems as though the rumors have gone up a notch.
Every social media post that the 21-year-old makes see a clutter of Real Madrid supporters telling him to head to Los Blancos. With Mbappé having one more year under his contract after this season, the possibility of the PSG forward heading to the Spanish capital is a reality, especially if he doesn’t extend his contract.
However, according to a fan poll that Diario AS conducted, Real Madrid supporters might be losing some interest in Mbappé. They asked which striker do Los Blancos fans prefer, Mbappé or Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
The poll showed that 64-percent of Real Madrid supporters would want to see the Spanish club go after the Norway international. Meanwhile, only 36-percent stand pat that Mbappé remains the forward that they should be targeting. It will be interesting to see if the Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez pays attention to the supporters.
