Report: PSG Forward Jese Still Aiming for a Return to Spain

Paris Saint-Germain forward Jese Rodriguez has been much of an outcast this season with the club. Upon his return from a season-long loan stint with Portuguese side Sporting CP, the Spanish forward is noticeably not in PSG manager Thomas Tuchel’s plans for this season. After playing a mere 22 minutes in all competitions so far over the ongoing campaign, it is becoming clearer that Jese’s days with the club are well over.

For now, Jese is still hoping to make a return to playing football in Spain, according to a report from the Spanish-based outlet Cuatro (via Le10Sport). The report adds that Jese is aiming to regain control of his career and aspires to be closer to his family.

Since joining PSG on a permanent transfer deal from Real Madrid, Jese has made two separate loan stints to Spanish clubs. With his PSG contract expiring next year, he is aiming at making another return to Spain.

Over the recent summer transfer window, several La Liga clubs were linked with possibly signing Jese on a transfer deal, including Elche. No deal ever materialized between Elche and PSG for the forward.

It will be interesting to see if any club steps forward to make a serious attempt to sign Jese over the upcoming winter transfer window.
