Report: Mbappe Trained on Wednesday Following Return from International Duty With French National Team

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe played in the French national team’s final international game of the year over its UEFA Nations League group stage fixture against Sweden on Tuesday. Mbappe came off the bench and finished the contest with no setbacks regarding his hamstring injury.

Now, just a day later, Mbappe has already returned to training with PSG, according to a report from RMC Sport.

PSG is set to take on AS Monaco for a Ligue 1 fixture on Friday. The fact that Mbappe trained on Wednesday is an optimistic sign that manager Thomas Tuchel could possibly play the forward in the contest. He has not played in a fixture with the club in several weeks, so this upcoming contest can be a way for Tuchel to slowly integrate him back into the team and dust off any rust that he may have.

PSG will also be monitoring his post-injury situation and determine whether he may be in line to play in next week’s UEFA Champions League group stage fixture against RB Leipzig.
