Paris Saint-Germain forward Moise Kean has withdrawn from the Italian national team’s November squad list due to injury, the association announced on Friday.
Kean was among several PSG players who suffered slight injuries in the days leading up to the start of the November international break. He took on a knock to his right knee during the team’s home league fixture against Stade Rennais. Still, the Italian national team proceeded to call Kean up with the hope of having him fit and available for its UEFA Nations League group stage fixtures this month. But Italy did not want to take any risks with his slight injury, which is why both parties decided to part ways for this international window.
PSG proceeded to announce that Kean underwent care at the Ooredoo training center. As it did with the Brazilian national team following its decision to release Neymar early from international duty, PSG thanked the Italian national team for its cooperation regarding Kean’s injury.
Kean will now continue to receive care with his slight injury in hopes of returning in time to feature in PSG’s upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against AS Monaco.
