Report: Jese Will Not Receive Any More First-Team Opportunities With PSG This Season

Paris Saint-Germain forward Jese Rodriguez recently made his return from a season-long loan stint with Portuguese side Sporting CP. It seemed inevitable at one point that PSG was going to offload Jese over the recent summer transfer window, but he managed to stay on with the club past transfer deadline day.

Now, PSG has decided to no longer rely on Jese this season and will not provide him with any more first-team opportunities, according to a report from the Spanish-based outlet Cuatro.

The report also mentions that PSG manager Thomas Tuchel is not looking for Jese to receive any playing time stints over the remainder of this season. This has been evident as of late, as Jese has not featured in a game with the team since making a six-minute cameo during its away Ligue 1 fixture against Nimes Olympique last month.

The report added on by making note of Jese apparently breaking coronavirus social distancing protocols during a recent trip to the Canary Islands. PSG has not been reported to discipline the player for his mini vacation.

Jese’s contract with PSG expires next year, but he could very well part ways over the upcoming winter transfer window if an interested club makes a reasonable offer to Les Parisiens.
