Report: Draxler Remains on Track to Soon Make a Return to Training

Paris Saint-Germain announced medical updates for several players earlier this week. For one, PSG declared that Draxler has been progressing well from his hamstring injury and is slated to be back in training by the end of the week. However, Draxler’s return to training may have to be prolonged “a little longer” as Le Parisien reports.

The report alludes that Draxler is not yet ready to make a return to action but is still close to being fit enough to soon take part in a collective session with the rest of his teammates.

Draxler has been out of action since first suffering a slight hamstring injury last month. PSG has held him out of every fixture since then and the German national team went along by keeping him out of its squad list for its November UEFA Nations League fixtures.

Draxler could still make a return to training this week, but PSG will have the final call. Since it is unlikely that he will be available to play in the team’s upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Bordeaux, PSG could elect to instead bring him back to training next week.
